About Rio Salvaje Lodge |
From eco-sightseeing to exotic fishing sites, Rio Salvaje Lodge guides you comfortably through it all.
Commercial airlines fly daily between Santiago, the capital of Chile, and Puerto Montt, capital of Chile's Los Lagos Region.
We meet you at the airport for a private drive south along the Pacific's Ancud Gulf to Hornopiren -- the town, the national park and especially the volcano.
Neatly nestled on the banks of a particularly savage section of the Rio Negro, Rio Salvaje Lodge will become "su casa" for a week of professionally guided Chilean adventures.
The town of Hornopiren used to be called Rio Negro, so you may find its older name listed on some maps.
Between Puerto Montt and the lodge you will enjoy the experience of a fantastic ferry journey across the mouth of Reloncavi Estuary.
This crossing is just about mid-point from the hectic big city and is a fitting welcome to your edge-of-the-world adventures in some of South America's most heavenly mountains and river valley forests. |
