Our rivers offer the angler a wide variety of fishing techniques from streamer fishing to dry fly fishing.

It is not uncommon to catch trout 24 inches and larger. Over the past several seasons we have spent significant amounts of time building trails and

finding the fastest and most comfortable ways to reach remote river systems. Most of the fish in our area are Rainbows, although we have found a few rivers with large self-sustaining resident Brown Trout populations. Just up the road we discovered a river alive with Browns up to 22 inches. Each time we set foot on a new river, clear, cold and totally wild, the excitement of exploration tingles thru our bones.

We are located at the end of the road and are the only lodge on the central coast with a fjord boat - where the road ends we start fishing. To reach some spectacular remote locations, we utilize our brand new custom fjord boat “La Orca”. Safety and comfort are foremost in our minds. Powered by twin 200 hp Yamaha four-stroke outboards, we can cruise at close to 30 mph. Outfitted with a bathroom, stove, and the newest and most sophisticated GPS navigation system, your trip to the Huinay or Vododovuy Rivers will be smooth. We have hired a local captain with years of experience working inside and out of the local fjord systems. With the proper positioning of small jet boats, Rio Salvaje will take you to productive areas with ease.

The Pacific Coast of Chile is famous for its diverse and spectacular views and its wildlife. Everything from Humboldt Penguins to Sea Lions inhabit this wild and wooly coast. One of the most exciting types of fishing we do is for Sierra Mackerel (also known as “horse mackerel” or “jack mackerel”). These hard fighting fish are sure to raise your blood pressure as they slash at flies and plugs. Noted as fantastic culinary fare, we will be pleased to turn your catch into a tasty dinner.

Without question there are many different fjord rivers left to explore. Some have been fished while others are still a mystery…all are spectacular. With our fjord boat we are limited only by our imaginations.
